The Munich Oktoberfest ("Wiesn") is a 16-day "beer festival" held annually in Munich. It is the world's largest fair, with more than 6 million people from around the world attending the event every year.
Don't miss the Grand entry of the Oktoberfest landlords and breweries with the magnificent horse-drawn drays and the Costume and Riflemen's Parade.

Costume and Riflemen's Parade

The famous Costume und Riflemen's Procession gives an impressive insight into the fascinating diversity of customs rooted in the heart of Bavaria, the states of Germany and in neighboring European countries. A varied succession of regional costume groups, "troops" in historical uniforms, marching bands, riflemen, thoroughbred horses, the decorated drays of the Munich breweries, floats displaying typical local traditions and historic carriages all pass by in a 7-kilometer-long procession.

Lunchtime at the "Oktoberfest"

Enjoy a pleasant lunchtime walk along the beer tents of the "Oktoberfest" and call in for lunch at the "Paulanerbräu Zelt" (Paulaner beer tent), also known as the "Winzerer Fähndl". This festively decorated tent is especially famous for its authentic and cosy atmosphere.
